<p>Provided is a liquid crystal display. The liquid crystal display includes a first substrate, and pixels which are arranged on the first substrate and include a first sub pixel electrode and a second sub pixel electrode. The first sub pixel electrode and the second sub pixel electrode include a cross-type branch part and fine branch parts extended from the cross-type branch part. A second substrate facing the first substrate has a common electrode where a cutting part corresponding to the cross-type branch part of the pixel electrode is formed. A liquid layer is injected between the first substrate and the second substrate. The liquid crystal display according to the embodiment of the present invention has a slit to arrange the cross-type branch part and fine branch parts extended from the branch part in a pixel electrode. A patterning process is performed on the common electrode in a position symmetrical to the branch part of the pixel electrode, thereby obtaining superior visibility and transmissivity, reducing texture, and preventing color degradation and gray agglomeration.</p> |
