<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image which can instantly be viewed while a still image is generated from a moving image and movement of a subject is reproduced.SOLUTION: An image generating apparatus includes: a main subject determining section for determining a main subject from persons included in a moving image consisting of frames at a prescribed period; a duplication section for selecting the plurality of images including the main subject as selection frames among the frames at the prescribed period and generating a duplicated image using an image part of the main subject from the plurality of selection frames; and a synthesis section for generating a synthesized image obtained by synthesizing the plurality of duplicated images. The duplication section obtains a size of a free space except for the image part of the main subject in the synthesized image and determines the image including the main subject in a size corresponding to the obtained size as the selection frame.</p> |
