The invention relates to methods for white balance of an image (6) of an environmental region of a motor vehicle (1) captured by means of a camera (3) of the motor vehicle (1). The white balance is performed by means of an electronic image processing device considering colour information (Roffset, Goffset, Boffset) related to a colouring of the motor vehicle (1).
