<p>An adjusting apparatus is provided in a sash (100, fig 1) to turn slats 50 automatically while the sash is being opened. First engaging members, preferably gears 12, are connected to respective slats. A driven unit 16, 18 is received in the frame 40 of the sash and includes a second engaging member, preferably a rack. All the first engaging members are engaged with the second engaging member. A driving unit 24 is connected to a carrier 200, to which the sash is pivotally connected, and the driven unit to drive it to move while the sash is being opened. The connection with the carrier may be via a cord 30. The driven unit moves the engaging members and thus the slats. Preferably, the slats are moved to a vertical and closed position as the sash is opened, which avoids possible damage caused by contact with other bodies.</p> |
