PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify operation by requiring no setting of protection guard time, and obtain an optical transmission node capable of reducing failure recovery time in the case of multiple failure occurrence.SOLUTION: An optical transmission node 1 configuring an optical transmission system capable of setting a plurality of protection sections including an overlapping section comprises: client accommodation parts 12-1 to 12-n and 3R parts 13-1 to 13-n performing failure recovery processing; and a path management part 26. When a failure is detected; the path management part 26 instructs to implement a route switching action on a protection section whose end point node is its own node in the case that its own node is the end point of the protection section, and transmits a suppression frame instructing to suppress a route switching action to a downstream optical transmission node. When receiving a suppression frame, the path management part 26 suppresses a route switching action, and transfers the received suppression frame to a downstream optical transmission node. |
