<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a stepped scaffold to be simply and rapidly installed over an intermediate beam even when the intermediate beam exists between a car stopped due to the failure of an elevator and a rescue-side car brought alongside the car.SOLUTION: Two adjacent elevator cars 10 and 12 each have an emergency rescue port on each of their car sides facing each other. A rescue device for an elevator rescues passengers by allowing the passengers to transfer from the elevator car 10 in failure to the elevator car 12 not in failure. Scaffolds 20A and 20B are stored in the rescue ports of the respective cars. The scaffolds 20A and 20B can be each installed between an intermediate beam 102 which exists between the rescue ports facing each other and the rescue port when the one car 10 is stopped due to the failure, and the other car 12 is brought alongside the one car 10.</p> |
