<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing which, as compared with conventional art, is reduced in parts count and prevents an increase in viscous rolling resistance by sufficiently discharging lubricating oil as well as an increase in temperature inside the bearing to thereby enable higher-speed operation. <P>SOLUTION: The roller bearing has a pair of bearing rings made up of inner and outer rings 1, 2, a plurality of rolling elements 3 interposed between the raceway surfaces 1a, 2a of the inner and outer rings 1, 2, and a cage 4 for retaining these rolling elements 3. The inner and outer rings 1, 2 are each provided with a bearing ring extension 6, 8 which extends in the axial direction. The bearing ring extension 6, 8 is provided with an oil feed and drain mechanism 9 which supplies the lubricating oil serving also as a bearing cooling medium into the bearing and which drains the lubricating oil out of the bearing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
