<p>Fermentation plant comprises at least one fermenter (F1, F2, ..., Fx) for receiving fermentation material (10), where the fermenter is a box-shaped fermenter with at least one opening (2) on the front-side (3), through which a distribution device (4) is introduced for distributing the introduced fermentation material in the fermenter and can be removed. The distribution device is displaceably mounted in the longitudinal direction of the fermenter, and has a conveying element, which receives the fermentation material and yields at a predetermined location in the fermenter. An independent claim is also included for operating the fermentation plant, in which the fermenter for receiving the fermentation material is used, comprising feeding the fermenter with the fermentation material up to a predetermined height below the total inner height of the fermenter, before start of the fermentation process. The predetermined height is chosen so that in the subsequent fermentation process the existing amount of nitrogen or nitrogen-containing substance does not exceed a predetermined limit.</p> |
