The present invention relates to a carbon nanoparticle for a photocatalyst, which acts as a photocatalyst. The carbon nanoparticle is characterized by being anyone selected among the group consisting of fullerene (C_60 or C_70) dispersed by an ultrasonic wave and having a hydrophilic functional group on the surface and a multi-walled or single-walled carbon nanotube, and the hydrophilic functional group is anyone or more selected from the group consisting of a carbonyl group (>C=O), a carboxyl group (-COOH), and a hydroxyl group (-OH). The carbon nanoparticle for a photocatalyst according to the present invention is dispersed by ultrasonic waves and protected by a hydrophilic group, and has the excellent photocatalytic activity by having a small particle size of 150 nm or less, and can be used in water purification process by maintaining the dispersion stability for a long time regardless of changes in the underwater condition and being environment-friendly. |
