<p>Obturator is made to slide immediately in front of the tap-hole. A series of plates are arranged one behind the other so that following one part provided with a passage identical to that of the tap-hole is a part without such an orifice. Orifices are made to coincide with the tap-hole at those times when it is desired to pour the metal bath, upon the termination of which the orifice is replaced by a blank part whose proximity regarding the tap-hole is sufficient to cause tight obturation of the tap-hole.
