A biological tissue processing substrate comprising: a planar support comprising a planar surface, at least part of the planar surface comprising a metal member disposed as a metal layer on the planar surface; and a porous body layer disposed on the metal layer such that a surface of the porous body layer contacts the metal layer, the porous body layer having a plurality of pores, wherein each of the plurality of pores extends in a vertical direction from the metal layer, and the pores extend through the porous body layer from the surface of the porous body layer contacting the metal layer to a surface of the porous body layer opposite the surface contacting the metal layer, wherein each of the plurality of pores comprises protease, and wherein the plurality of pores has a pore size ranging from 100 nm to 10 μm.
