<p>The present invention relates to a novel colchicine derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and to a composition for preventing or treating cancer comprising the same as an active ingredient. The novel colchicine derivative of the present invention significantly reduces the expression of polo-like kinase (Plk-1) and stimulates the apoptosis of cancer cells while markedly suppressing the growth of the cancer cells by activating p21 and p53, thereby being capable of being usefully applied to an effective treatment composition on various cancers.</p> |
