摘要 |

The present invention relates to optical compounds comprising a doped crystalline bismuth oxide which is characterized by unique photoactive properties and particularly for exhibiting non-linear optical phenomena, particularly photon up-conversion, down-conversion, downshifting and scintillation. Said optical compounds are characterized by peculiar crystalline structures which result in characteristics and tunable optical properties suitable for a wide range of applications (e.g. devices, bio-imaging). The present invention also discloses a simple method for producing said compounds, which is characterized by an high degree of control over the structural and optical properties.
|
