PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can re-connect, even when disconnected from an information processing apparatus for transmitting and receiving maintenance data in order to perform maintenance work of the image forming apparatus, the image forming apparatus to the information processing apparatus; a control method of the image forming apparatus; and a program.SOLUTION: When disconnected from an information processing apparatus, an image forming apparatus 101 stores, in a storage unit, specification information for specifying an information processing apparatus to be re-connected and the time for the re-connection, and re-connects to the information processing apparatus specified by the specification information upon arrival of the re-connection time.
