PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved chip assembly for use in a stapling device.SOLUTION: A chip assembly 100 for use in a surgical stapler including a handle assembly is provided. The chip assembly includes a housing assembly 102 and a plug assembly 104. The plug assembly is configured to selectively engage an open end 110a of a base member of the housing assembly. The plug assembly includes a plug member 140, and first and second contact members 160 extending from the plug member. The first and second contact members are configured to be received within a cavity 111 defined by the base member and engage a circuit board assembly 130 when the plug assembly engages the housing assembly. |
