PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the versatility of an RC oscillator.SOLUTION: An RC oscillator 10 calculates a correction value for an oscillation frequency of the RC oscillator 10 from a difference between a capacitor time constant measured from an external RC circuit 11 comprising a resistor and a capacitor and a time constant assumed when the capacitor is charged at a predetermined temperature, and a correspondence relationship between temperature and capacitance of the capacitor. Furthermore, the RC oscillator corrects the oscillation frequency of the RC oscillator 10 according to the correction value.
