PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonvolatile semiconductor storage device, a memory controller, and a memory system capable of managing a defective area.SOLUTION: A nonvolatile semiconductor storage device includes: a memory cell array (MAT, Plane) including a plurality of block units, each block unit including a plurality of memory cells stacked on a semiconductor layer; a first flag area provided per block unit, and retaining information as to whether each block unit is defective (C level) or not (E level); and a control unit (memory controller) reading the information for each block unit in a read operation or a write operation, and prohibiting access to the block unit corresponding to the information indicating that the block unit is defective (C level) if the information indicating that the block unit is defective (C level). |
