<p>Provided in the present invention is a composition for forming an optical anisotropic layer, which can be used in manufacturing of an optical anisotropic layer having high transparency. The present invention relates to a composition for forming an optical anisotropic layer, which includes a polymerizable liquid crystal compound, a photopolymerization initiator, and a solvent (1). (Solvent (1) is a lactone-based solvent which has a boiling point of 200°C or greater.) It is preferred that the composition additionally contain a solvent (2) that is different from solvent (1), and that the content of solvent (1) for the total amount of solvent (1) and solvent (2) be 1-70 mass%. Solvent (1) is preferred to be at least one kind selected among a group consisting ofγ-butyrolactone,γ-valerolactone, andδ-valerolactone.</p> |
