PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular drive apparatus enabling suppression in a size of the apparatus even with a rotary electric appliance and in a cost of the apparatus due to provision of a gear mechanism.SOLUTION: In a vehicular drive apparatus 1, an input member I and an output member O of a transmission TM are disposed on a first virtual axis A1; a rotary electric appliance MG is disposed on a second virtual axis A2; a counter gear mechanism CG is disposed on a third virtual axis A3, with a counter input gear GCi and a counter output gear GCo with smaller diameter than the counter input gear GCi configured to integrally rotate; a variable-speed output gear GTo of the output member is meshed with the counter input gear GCi; an electric appliance output gear GMo of the rotary electric appliance MG is meshed with the counter input gear GCi and has a smaller diameter than the counter input gear GCi does; and a differential input gear GDi of a differential gear mechanism DF is meshed with the counter output gear GCo.
