<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical peeling machine which enables an operator to perform skin-hooking work without inserting fingers inside a drum, and can reduce a risk of injury to the fingers.SOLUTION: A vertical peeling machine 1 includes a skin drawing-in air cylinder 33 for reciprocating a skin hook 37 in a direction orthogonal to a direction in which a needle 38 projects, and drawing in and out the skin hook 37 from inside of a drum 4 at an opening 8. The skin drawing-in air cylinder 33 moves the skin hook 37 to the outside of the drum 4 at the time of skin hooking work in which an operator hooks a skin 24 to the needle 38 of the skin hook 37, and moves the skin hook 37, in which the skin 24 is hooked to the needle 38, to the inside of the drum 4 at the end of the skin-hooking work. A gripping device 11 arranges a clamp 12 and a clamp receiving part 16 so as to be adjacent to each other after the skin hook 37 has been moved to the inside of the drum 4, and grips a part of the skin 24 drawn to the inside of the drum 4 with the skin hook 37. After the gripping device 11 has gripped the part of the skin 24, the skin 24 of carcass 22 is peeled by rotating the drum 4.</p> |
