PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly treat an invalid sheet for paper jam which has occurred in a sheet conveyance unit of an image forming apparatus or the like.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming unit for forming an image on a sheet on the basis of a job; a sheet conveyance unit for conveying the sheet through a conveyance path; and a control unit for controlling conveyance of the sheet. When a conveyed sheet is jammed, the control unit sets order information of an invalid sheet remaining in the machine after the jam, and discharges the invalid sheet from the inside to the outside of the machine through the conveyance path, on the basis of the order information, to reduce time and effort for manually removing the invalid sheet remaining in the machine when paper jam occurs. An invalid sheet can be purged without implementing special sheet conveyance control. |
