PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal that achieves smooth handover and realizes a mobile communication system adopting inter-base station coordinated transmission and reception (CoMP) capable of coping with high-speed travel.SOLUTION: A mobile terminal performs demodulation operation different depending on the number of transmission source base stations of pilot signals included in a reception signal and demodulates data in a mobile communication system in which base stations use the same frequency and base stations interfering with each other transmit orthogonal pilot signals. Here, demodulation processing extracts the pilot signals from the reception signal, calculates a detection index value of the pilot signal for each of the extracted pilot signals, determines demodulation operation on the basis of the calculated detection index values, and executes the determined demodulation operation to demodulate the reception signal. |
