<p>A touch screen device is provided to sense the point touched by a user. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel(34) comprises an infrared light source and a photo transistor reacting to the infrared ray on a lower plate. When a touch operation of a user is sensed on the LCD panel, a read-out unit(35) detects a touch sensing signal generated by the photo transistor and then outputs it. A controller recognizes coordinates of a point touched by the user based on the sensing voltage of the read-out unit and then performs a control function corresponding to the recognized result.</p> |
