PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a composite active material for lithium secondary battery which allows for production of an electrode material in which volume expansion is suppressed even after repetition of charge and discharge, and allows for manufacture of a lithium secondary battery exhibiting excellent cycle characteristics.SOLUTION: A composite active material for lithium secondary battery is produced by using a blending step of obtaining a blend by blending graphite having a specific surface area of 30 m/g or more, silicon monoxide, and a carbon precursor, a spheronization step of obtaining a spherical blend by spheronizing the blend, and a heating step of producing a substantially spherical composite active material for lithium secondary battery containing a composite that contains silicon and silicon dioxide and a graphite component, by subjecting the spherical blend to heating treatment. |
