<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for controlling an input method editor in a touch input device. The apparatus includes a display unit, a processing unit, and a wired or wireless connection unit connectable to an auxiliary device. The display unit includes a sensor capable of sensing a touch input. The processing unit includes an edit control algorithm to determine one or more among the display method, deletion method and editing method of characters input by a touch input or by the auxiliary device according to the a user′s settings. Therefore, when a user performs document editing using a mobile device, the user can apply a desired edit control except a preset edit control to the document editing.</p> |
