A method of correcting time of a one time password (OTP) apparatus comprises: (S11) a step wherein the OTP apparatus is registered on an authentication server based on a unique number, and the authentication server generates a time correcting variable and a time allowance range variable; (S12) a step wherein the OTP apparatus generates an authentication number and transmits authentication number generation time and the authentication number to an OTP authentication server through a terminal; (S13) a step wherein the OTP authentication server reads the time correcting variable stored in the OTP authentication server based on the unique number of the OTP apparatus; (S14) a step wherein the OTP authentication server calculates the time allowance range of the OTP apparatus using the time allowance range variable stored in the OTP server based on the unique number of the OTP apparatus; (S15) a step wherein the OTP authentication server calculates a minimum time value and a maximum time value of the OTP authentication server based on a current time and the time allowance range variable; (S16) a step wherein the OTP authentication server determines whether a correction time value of the OTP apparatus is greater than or equal to the minimum time value of the OTP authentication server, and whether the correction time value of the OTP apparatus is smaller than or equal to the maximum time value of the OTP authentication server; and (S17) a step wherein the time correcting variable is stored in a storage area of the OTP authentication server corresponding to the unique number of the OTP apparatus when the correction time value of the OTP apparatus is greater than or equal to the minimum time value of the OTP authentication server, and the correction time value of the OTP apparatus is smaller than or equal to the maximum time value of the OTP authentication server.
