PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer having a function of correcting printing density, configured to correct density without reducing printing productivity.SOLUTION: A print server (DFE) 10 executes decompression processing (RIP processing) on print data, and transfers it to an image forming apparatus 20. A density correction processing unit 220 of the image forming apparatus 20 performs density correction processing, such as γ correction or halftone processing, on the decompressed print data transferred from the print server (DFE), and outputs it to a print image processing unit 230. The print image processing unit 230 generates laser-write data from the print data. A printer engine 240 includes a write unit, a transfer unit, a fixing unit, or the like, to form an image on a print sheet. |
