<p>The present invention is to suggest a system and a method for controlling a vehicle which prevents sudden acceleration by preventing a driver from mishandling a brake pedal and an accelerator pedal as a system such as a sensor of a pedal unit, a black box, or the like fractionally considered as a convenience device is integrated with a sensor system capable of being used in SCC, LKAS, or the like. To achieve this, the system for controlling a vehicle comprises: a first sensor sensing a position of a foot of a driver; a second sensor acquiring external information with regard to a surrounding vehicle or an obstacle; an appropriacy determination unit determining whether the foot position of the driver is appropriate based on the external information; a warning message transmission unit transmitting a warning message to the driver when the foot position of the driver is inappropriate; and an input information transmission control unit prohibiting the information inputted by the foot of the driver from being transmitted to a vehicle operation device when the foot position of the driver is inappropriate.</p> |
