The present invention relates to an air bearing spindle for a machine tool having an automatic tool exchanger which prevents a rotational axis from being twisted even if pressure is applied by an unloading shaft of a holder unloading module by preventing the pressure applied by a cylinder rod of a cylinder unit from being directly transmitted to the rotating shaft as a nut part is screw-coupled to a rear part of the rotating shaft. The air bearing spindle for a machine tool of the present invention comprises: a rotating shaft; a holder unloading module; an air bearing part including a journal air bearing and a thrust air bearing formed on a rear end part of the rotating shaft; a rear thrust cap where a hole is formed on the center; a cylinder part including a cylinder rod; and a nut part.
