PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a ceramic composite, capable of manufacturing the ceramic composite having a structure having two or more kinds of crystal phases continuously and three-dimensionally entangled to each other and having no crack and less contamination due to impurities with a high yield.SOLUTION: The ceramic composite having a structure having two or more kinds of crystal phases continuously and three-dimensionally entangled to each other is grown from the oxide molten liquid of an eutectic composition using a seed crystal by the Bridgman method. The seed crystal is a single crystal having the same base as any one of crystal phases constituting the ceramic composite. The ceramic composite is preferably constituted of a first crystal phase consisting of Ln3Al5O12 (Ln is at least one element of Y, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu.) phase and a second crystal phase consisting of Al2O3. |
