PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matrix switching type touch panel which can prevent a boundary between an area where transparent electrodes exist and an area where any transparent electrode does not exist, from being visually recognized and can prevent up-down and left-right boundaries between unit electrodes from being visually recognized.SOLUTION: The matrix switching type touch panel includes: touch pads which are arranged in a visible area on a substrate in a dot matrix format so as to be spaced from one another; and signal lines which are disposed in spaces between the touch pads and each of which connects a touch pad and a touch driving circuit in an invisible area. The matrix switching type touch panel further includes: unit electrodes which are made of a transparent and electrically conductive material and are arranged within the visible area on the substrate; touch pad areas set in areas corresponding to respective touch pads; signal line areas set in areas corresponding to respective signal lines; and bridges which are made of a transparent and electrically conductive material and electrically connect the unit electrodes arranged in the touch pad areas and the signal line areas to constitute the touch pads and the signal lines.
