PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire electric discharge machine that corrects a rotational runout of a rotating shaft or a rotational runout of a rotary tool fixed to the rotating shaft when a processing program for processing a PCD tool is generated.SOLUTION: A wire electric discharge machine which measures the position of a blade surface of a cutting tool fitted to a rotating shaft by a touch sensor, generates a processing program based upon the measured position, and processes a blade part of the cutting tool based upon the processing program rotates and positions a bar-like reference jig at at least three rotational angle positions with the reference jig fixed to the rotating shaft, and measures positions of an outer peripheral surface of the reference jig at the respective rotational positions. The measured positions of the outer peripheral surface of the reference jig are stored as rotational runout position information. Center coordinates of the rotational runout and rotational coordinates and a rotational runout error of each rotating shaft are computed from the stored rotational runout position information. The processing program is so corrected as to cancel the rotational runout error found through the computation. |
