PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photoelectric smoke sensor that improves noise resistance when conducting a fire diagnosis based upon sampling processing, and to provide a fire diagnostic processing method for use in the photoelectric smoke sensor.SOLUTION: A light reception part controller (22) including a light transmission part (10) and a light reception part (20) and located within the light reception part is configured to: when reading an amount of light reception in each period by a light reception element (21), acquire the amount of light reception plural times by executing sampling in less than a minimum period of noise affecting the amount of light reception plural times; and exclude sampling data having the amount of light reception increased by the affection of the noise and conduct a fire determination. A light transmission part controller (22) within the light transmission part sets a prescribed width so as to be capable of executing the sampling plural times in the light reception part, and emits pulse light. |
