PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing instrument having an erasing member which can perform stable scratching movement while minimizing switching movement from writing movement to the scratching movement, and can obtain a sufficient contact area.SOLUTION: A writing instrument 1 includes a shaft cylinder 2, a writing body 5 arranged in the shaft cylinder 2 and having a writing part 5a on one end, and an erasing member 3. The erasing member 3 includes a through hole 3a which is formed on a front end of the shaft cylinder 2 and through which the writing part 5a can protrude. A part of the erasing member 3 forms a protrusion part 3f extending to a front side in an axial direction. The writing instrument 1 includes an inclined surface 3e formed by inclining the erasing member 3 with respect to an axis. The inclined surface 3e defines the protrusion part 3f, and the through hole 3a is formed on the inclined surface. |
