<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve discrimination accuracy between a flat area and a low contrast area without being affected by amplitude due to noise.SOLUTION: An image processing device comprises: processing area setting means 11 for deciding a prescribed area targeted for processing out of an input image; block extraction means 12 for, in a processing area, extracting the prescribed area centering around a pixel of attention as a block of attention and extracting an area having the same size as the block of attention centering around a reference image different from the pixel of attention as a reference block; similarity calculation means 13 for calculating similarity between the pixel of attention and a reference pixel on the basis of a difference between pixel values of pixels included in the block of attention and pixels included in the reference block; weighting means 14 for calculating weighting the higher the similarity, the higher weighting in accordance with the similarity with respect to the reference image and the lower the similarity, the lower weighting therein; and flatness index value calculation means 15 for calculating a flatness index value serving as an index of flatness for the processing area on the basis of the pixel value of each pixel within the processing area and a weighted value therewithin.</p> |
