<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium processing device capable of performing a separation preparatory operation for moving a separation roller and a paper return lever in arbitrary timing even when a common driving source is used for a moving mechanism which moves the separation roller and paper return lever associatively with each other, and a conveying mechanism which conveys a medium.SOLUTION: A printer 1 (medium processing device) includes a moving mechanism 32 which performs a separation preparatory operation for moving a paper return lever 31 and a separation roller 30 associatively with each other. Driving force of a conveyance motor 17 is transmitted to the moving mechanism 32. Further, the printer 1 includes a trigger lever 51 capable of moving between an interference position 51A where the separation preparatory operation is stopped from starting by physical interference with the moving mechanism 32 and a non-interference position 51B where the interference with the moving mechanism 32 is canceled, and an actuator 53 which moves the trigger lever 51 from the interference position 51A to the non-interference position 51B. The separation preparatory operation can be performed in arbitrary timing by driving by an actuator 53.</p> |
