<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering cerium abrasives, which can obtain high-purity recycled polishing material, from polishing material slurry containing used cerium abrasives.SOLUTION: A method for recovering cerium abrasives comprises a slurry recovery step of recovering polishing material slurry A containing used cerium abrasives, a separation step of separating the recovered polishing material slurry A into a dispersion medium B containing cerium abrasives and a supernatant liquid C by adding an inorganic salt containing metal elements that can be divalent or trivalent cations to the recovered polishing material slurry A to coagulate the cerium abrasives, and an extraction step of extracting the cerium abrasives from the dispersion medium B containing the separated cerium abrasives by using a low polarity dispersion medium.</p> |
