<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device in which a center part in a developer rotation axis direction of a layer thickness regulation member is hardly bent outward due to repetition of heating/cooling heat cycles to allow long-term stable formation of a developer layer having a uniform layer thickness in the developer rotation axis direction.SOLUTION: In a layer thickness regulation member 37, a layer thickness regulation part 36 for regulating a layer thickness of a developer, a base surface 37B facing the peripheral surface of a developing sleeve 70, and a reinforcement rib part 38A traversing from one end side to the other end side in a developer carrier axial line direction are formed of resin material into one body. The layer thickness regulation member 37 is supported movably in the developer carrier axial line direction so as to be released from expansion and contraction due to heating/cooling heat cycles. The reinforcement rib part 38A is configured so that longitudinally traversing reinforcement ribs connected to both the base surface 37B and the reinforcement rib part 38A and longitudinally traversing in a direction crossing the developer carrier axial line direction are not formed substantially except both end parts in the developer carrier axial line direction of the layer thickness regulation member 37.</p> |
