PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for estimating a three-dimensional shape of a subject with a high degree of accuracy on the basis of a deformed state of the subject.SOLUTION: An area of contact between a subject and a holding member is acquired on the basis of an image obtained by photographing the subject in the state of holding the subject by the holding member. A three-dimensional shape of the subject in the held state is estimated on the basis of the area of the contact therebetween.
