摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a negative electrode active material for nonaqueous secondary batteries which makes possible to achieve superior initial charge and discharge efficiencies, less gas generation, and a high cycle-retaining rate, and which enables the control of swelling of an electrode without worsening the liquid permeability of an electrolytic solution even when used as a battery electrode.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a negative electrode active material for nonaqueous secondary batteries including an active material (A) capable of adsorbing and releasing lithium ions, and an organic compound (B) comprises the following steps, provided that the organic compound (B) is at least a straight-chain polymer having an aromatic ring group or an amino group. In the step (1), the active material (A) is mixed with the organic compound (B) in a solvent. In the step (2), the mixture prepared in the step (1) is filtered. In the step (3), a residue resulting from the step (2) is cleansed away with a solvent.
