摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of a hybrid vehicle capable of promptly transmitting output torque of an engine as drive force when a hybrid vehicle is switched from motor travel of stopping the engine to engine travel.SOLUTION: A controller of a hybrid vehicle starts an engine at a state that a clutch is slipped (steps S5, S6) when the hybrid vehicle is switched from an EV mode of blocking torque which acts on any rotation element of a differential mechanism by the clutch and traveling by a second motor provided on an output side of the differential mechanism to an HV mode of traveling by transmitting output torque of the engine to drive wheels, and starts to output the torque from a first motor so as to output the torque input from a first rotation element to the differential mechanism in a direction for increasing the number of rotations of the drive wheels from a third rotation element (a step S9) when the torque is transmitted from the engine so as to increase the number of rotations of the first rotation element while slipping the clutch.
