PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that enables reduction in a load of a compressor by using heat of an external heat source when defrosting a heat exchanger.SOLUTION: In the case where an outdoor heat exchanger 32 is defrosted, when a heater core inlet water temperature is higher than an external heat source temperature determination value, that is when a second defrosting operation is performed, an electronic control device 14 makes a centrifugal air blower 18 blow air, actuates a second throttle valve 34 and a solenoid on-off valve 52 to form a bypass circulation route, and sets a throttle opening of the first throttle valve 30 so that a condenser inlet refrigerant temperature is lower than the heater core inlet water temperature. Therefore, when heat of a heater core 24 can be used for defrosting of the outdoor heat exchanger 32, a refrigerant flowing into the condenser 22 is heated by the heater core 24 via blown air, and the heated refrigerant flows into the outdoor heat exchanger 32. Thus, the heat of the heater core 24 is used for defrosting of the outdoor heat exchanger 32, leading to reduction in a load of a compressor 28. |
