<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup method capable of photographing a moving object at a target photographing position without enlarging an image size to be processed.SOLUTION: An image pickup method for an image pickup device is provided, the image pickup device includes: a camera section capable of photographing a movable object to be photographed by switching over at least two distinct image qualities; and a camera control section for photographing the object to be photographed by controlling the camera section. In a first photographing step (step S4), the camera control section performs continuous photographing with a first image quality. In an estimation calculation step (step S8), the camera control section estimates the timing of the object to be photographed passing through a prescribed target zone on the basis of a plurality of positions of the object to be photographed acquired from an image photographed in the first photographing step. In a second photographing step (step S11), the camera control section photographs the object at the timing passing through the zone with a second image quality which is finer than the first image quality.</p> |
