An organic electroluminescent element which comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a light emitting layer arranged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The light emitting layer contains at least a first organic compound, a second organic compound and a third organic compound satisfying formula (A); the second organic compound is a delayed phosphor; and the third organic compound is a light emitting body. This organic electroluminescent element has high luminous efficiency. Formula (A): ES1(A) > ES1(B) > ES1(C) (In this formula, ES1(A), ES1(B) and ES1(C) respectively represent the lowest excited singlet energy levels of the first organic compound, the second organic compound and the third organic compound.) |
