PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ballast water filtration device elongating a service life until a filter runs into clogging up, by improving washing effect of the filter.SOLUTION: A ballast water filtration device includes: a filter in which a filtration material folded in a pleats shape to form a cylindrical shape such that the filtration material surrounds an axis in the vertical direction, and is rotatably arranged with the axis as the center; an electric motor for rotating the filter; a case provided such that the case surrounds the filter; a treated water flow passage leading treated water into the case; a treated water nozzle spouting the treated water onto an outer circumferential face of the filter; a filtration water flow passage leading the filtration water filtered by the filter outside the case; and a drainage flow passage discharging the treated water not filtered by the filter outside the case. The treated water nozzle is formed in a shape in which the treated water spouted toward the outer circumferential face of the filter forms a flow in the vertical direction in a trough part recessed in the radial direction configuring the pleats shape.
