<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor optical element module which maintains synchronization in modulation between a plurality of laser beams.SOLUTION: A semiconductor optical element module 101 includes a semiconductor optical element in which first and second semiconductor laser elements 211, 212 and optical waveguides 221, 222 which guide the laser light outputted from the first and second semiconductor laser elements to first and second light emission ends 231, 232 respectively are monolithic-integrated, and an optical multiplexing means 301 which multiplexes laser light emitted from the first and second light emission ends. An optical path difference between an optical path length L2 from the laser light emission end of the second semiconductor laser element to the second light emission end and an optical path length L1 from the laser light emission end of the first semiconductor laser element to the first light emission end, is equal to an optical path difference L3 between an optical path length from the first light emission end to a multiplexing point where laser light is multiplexed by the optical multiplexing means and an optical path length from the second light emission end to the multiplexing point.</p> |
