<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector capable of maintaining good optical properties after transforming an arrangement of light paths of a multicore fiber into a different arrangement.SOLUTION: An optical connector 1 is for transforming an arrangement of light paths of an MCF 3 from a first array form into a second array form, where the first array form comprises a plurality of cores arranged in three rows and the second array form comprises the plurality of cores arranged in one row. The optical connector 1 is installed on the MCF 3 and includes a first end portion 10 which arranges optical fibers to form the first array at one end, and a second end portion 20 which arranges the plurality of optical fibers 30a-30g to form the second array at the other end or on the way thereto. The plurality of optical fibers 30a-30g in an n-th row (where N≥n≥1) at the first end portion do not cross each other in an open space portion 60 when viewed from a second direction D2.</p> |
