<p>SEAL ANCHOR WITH NON-PARALLEL LUMENS A surgical device comprises a flexible seal anchor member (100) including a distal surface (104) and a proximal surface (102). The seal anchor member (100) defines a longitudinal axis extending along a length thereof between the proximal and distal surfaces (102, 104). The seal anchor member (100) has a substantially hour-glass shape when the seal anchor member (100) is in an at-rest condition. The seal anchor member (100) defines at least three lumens (108a, 108b, 108c) extending from the proximal surface (102) and through the seal anchor member (100) to the distal surface (104). The at least three lumens (108a, 108b, 108c) is configured for sealed reception of a surgical object inserted therein. Each lumen of the at least three lumens (108a, 108b, 108c) defines a longitudinal axis ("X", "Y", "Z"). When the seal anchor member (100) is in the at-rest condition, each lumen of the at least three lumens (108a, 08b, 108c) defines an acute angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the seal anchor member (100).</p> |
