PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft high carbon steel sheet excellent in cold workability in a softened condition, and contributing to improvement of component accuracy.SOLUTION: There is provided the soft high carbon steel sheet having a component composition containing, by mass%, C:0.65 to 1.0%, Si:0.10 to 0.60%, Mn:0.10 to 1.0%, Al:0.01 to 0.1%, P:0.03% or less (not including 0%), S:0.01% or less (not including 0%) and the balance iron with inevitable impurities. In the soft high carbon steel sheet, in relation to a ferrite crystal grain existing at a position of depth t/4 (t:plane thickness), an area ratio of the ferrite crystal grain in 10° of a plane direction from (123) plane is 20% or more and an average grain diameter of the ferrite crystal grain existing at the position of depth t/4 is 3 to 50 μm. |
