PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet polarizer exhibiting excellent optical characteristics and a sheet polarizer manufacturing method.SOLUTION: A sheet polarizer includes: a translucent substrate transmitting light in a use band; a columnar bundle structure layer formed on the translucent substrate and comprising one or more out of a dielectric, a metal, and a semiconductor; an absorption layer formed on the bundle structure; a dielectric layer formed on the absorption layer; and a reflection layer formed on the dielectric layer and arranged in a one-dimensional grid shape at narrower pitches than a wavelength of the light in the use band. Since the bundle structure layer increases light absorption and light scattering, it is eventually possible to reduce reflectivity and attain excellent optical characteristics. |
